Kenya Red Cross wants to break the Guinness World Records by planting 5 million trees in one hour

The tree planting project is part of conservation in the face of changing climate patterns. The campaign is part of a project that aims to see 2.5 billion trees and woody shrubs planted, nurtured and sustained in all parts of the Kenya by the year 2020.

“Tree-Challenge is a tree planting marathon for the people of Kenya to plant 5 million ecologically suitable tree seedlings in one hour, at multiple locations throughout the country, and set a New Guinness World Record.” Says Red Cross
