President Muhammadu Buhari last week in the US met with the young Nigerian filmmaker and girl-education advocate.
13-year-old Zuriel Elise Oduwole, born to a Nigerian father and a Mauritian mother, is an education activist best known for her works on the advocacy for the education of girls in Africa.
Oduwole is the youngest person to be profiled by Forbes. In 2014, at age 12, she was the world’s youngest filmaker to have a self-produced work screened commercially.
The President also met with other eminent US-based Nigerians: Cardiologist Yemi Badero, Prof. Nwadiuto Esiobu and Austin Esogbue.
