  1. I am an American scholar with a degree in African Political Science, and I have lived on the continent for 20 years. I have worked with the AU, EU and UN, and have witnessed many democratic electoral transitions in many African countries during the long run and I personally feel that Zambia should be on that list. Zambia is probably the most democratic country in Africa. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give Zambia 9.5.
