Salt and a car battery: Unusual tools to make clean water in Kenya


You can survive for months without food. But when it comes to water, you only have days.

Lack of access to safe, clean water is a life-threatening reality for hundreds of millions of people, and charitable solutions are often short-term.

Now one company is using technology designed for the U.S military and disaster rescue teams to provide communities across developing countries with a different way tackle the problem.

Hannah McNeish reports from a trial area in Yatta, central Kenya.
